Hey Y’all,

With all of the different colors and types of flowers to choose from, picking a selection for your ceremony and reception can be difficult. However, just as your wedding menu will typically reflect the time of year you are getting married and the location you are getting married at, those two things will also tend to lend themselves to the rest of your design choices.  The most obvious of which being flowers, since each type of bloom is in season at different times of the year. Color trends will also help to guide you in the right direction when making design choices. For all of you spring brides, here’s a quick guide to flowers that are currently in bloom.

Screen Shot 2014-04-04 at 3.39.20 PMHey Y’all,

I’m starting a new series of quick posts that supply you with answers to some of the best questions I receive via your comments and emails and through working in the wedding/event planning industry. Today’s question is:

Q: If there’s one design element I should splurge on, in terms of my wedding budget, what is it?

A: Spend the money on a stunning bouquet because it will be in all of your pictures. #BWorleyTips

Spring Wedding Inspiration!

Screen Shot 2014-03-31 at 4.24.55 PMHey Y’all,

Spring is finally here and for me, that means one thing: wedding season!

To kick things off, I thought I’d post a few of my favorite pins from a vibrant Spring Wedding board I created on Pinterest. The image above is what started the pin-fest off –the green, peach, pinks and corals and cream all scream “SPRING!”. It’s an image pinned via an LA-based wedding photographer’s Instagram by the name of Samuel Lippke.

After this, I fell down a rabbit hole of dreamy pink gowns…perfect for hopelessly romantic spring brides. The dress above is by Maggie Sottero. The dress below is MXM Couture.

Next, continuing with the trendy pink theme for spring, I think all of the bouquets in the image below work really well with a pink, blush or cream gown.

You can also dress your bridesmaids in different hues ranging from pale pink to deep purple.

As far as flowers go, peonies are usually all the rage for a spring wedding! Although, I think this DIY hanging-terrarium display puts a new spin on the tradition–adding succulents to the mix for a dash of green.

My Tips for Personalizing Your Wedding Day to Make it More YOU-nique!

Image via lovelybride.com/blog

Hey Ya’ll,

These days, folks are getting more and more creative when it comes to their wedding day. Instead of having one style for everything, people are finding ways to mix and match styles and designs to come up with something completely original that not only represents who they are, but is also fun and enjoyable for their guests.

In fact, Wedding Bells just published my ten best tips for personalizing your special day (click HERE to read them all now)! Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be sharing each tip one-by-one with all of you—starting with tip numero uno: selecting a YOU-nique venue.

1. Venue
Choosing an impressive venue spot is usually high on the priority list for couples. There’s so much potential to decorate a venue the way you want to, especially if you pick an empty space with no décor whatsoever. Also, instead of everything following one pattern, mixing textures and designs creates a really unique look. It’s important to also have arrangements at every eye level – high, medium and low – so your guests will never be staring at empty space.

Overall, if a certain aspect of your wedding planning is giving you a hard time, whether it be finding a venue, the perfect dress, or the right flowers, I always tell my clients to think outside the box because there is always potential to create something that has never been done before!

Check back for more of my wedding planning tips as featured by Wedding Bells next week –there will be ten YOU-nique tips in all!
