Last month, I was honored to be invited to Kiev, Ukraine to speak at the first annual Wedding Business Summit where I met some of the most gracious, creative and excited wedding professionals who were like sponges looking to learn as much as possible about the wedding industry in the United States.
As I follow the news of what is happening in Kiev and around the Ukraine, my support goes out to all of the people there who are gathering during this time of political opposition. I hope that any violence that surrounds these protests can be approached in a peaceful manner, allowing these amazing people the ability to pursue their destiny.
After personally witnessing the enthusiasm and drive among the people of Keiv, especially those who are working hard to further develop creative industries there, I wish them much freedom and success in the near future.
Just wanted to check in with you all and let you know that I’m in Vegas for Engage! 12. I’m having such a great time so far, who wouldn’t love getting all this fun swag?
Yesterday, I participated in a hosted lunch where the guests drew cards with different speaker’s picture on them and asked questions about our businesses in order to get to know each other better. Here’s mine:
This morning I’m speaking in front of everyone at the event. So thank you, for your thoughtful suggestions on what to include in my presentation… I’ve decided to speak about my process for designing Hollywood type events and my inspiration for designing weddings. Keep your fingers crossed that it goes smoothly!

I’ll be in Vegas until Friday. Let me know in the comment section below if you have any suggestions for things to do while I’m here!

If you follow me on Twitter you know that I’ve been holding on to an exciting secret for a while now, but I’m finally allowed to talk about it… I’ve been selected to be one of the judges for this year’s MISS CALIFORNIA pageant!!!!
I’m excited to be a part of this prestigious event, which takes place this weekend at the McCallum Theatre in Indian Wells, CA. We’ll be judging the contestants on three main categories: interview, swimsuit and evening gown. In addition to: character, poise, confidence and personality. This should be fun, especially since last year’s MISS CALIFORNIA went on to become MISS USA–which means, this year’s winner has some big heels to fill!
I’ll have more details soon, plus, fun behind-the-scenes stories, but I just wanted to let everyone know about this exciting news now that it’s been officially announced.
