The big game is upcoming up and a lot of you will be hosting friends and family at your house. Below, you’ll find a some snack and beverage ideas to keep your guests full and happy while they root for their team (or ignore the game entirely and laugh at the commercials).
First, I love the idea of taking the pressure off of yourself as the host by creating a buffet of sorts. You could create a “Do-it-Yourself” station for just about anything, including: Nachos, Mexican Pizzas, Chili, etc. Click HERE for a great tutorial for a chili bar from the CookingChannelTV.com.
If you’re going to create one of these for your party, just make sure you have all the cooking tools necessary for preparation along with all of the ingredients (and instructions if it’s complicated!) and assorted toppings. Click HERE for instructions on how to re-create this nacho bar from TheMagicalSlowCooker.com.
Next, cool off your guests with a fun, frozen adult treat! I got an email about these delicious looking, 100-calorie frozen beverages called Slim Chillers and thought they’d be great for parties. They come in a variety of flavors (choose one to represent each team’s signature colors!) and depending on how fancy your party is you can hand them out as is or fancy them up a bit by pouring them into a martini glass.
For dessert, I love this cute idea I saw for turning strawberries into footballs using chocolate. The photo and recipe are by Jackie from Domesticfits.com and I highly recommend following her blog and also her Pinterest for endless ideas and inspiration!
