We’re only one week into 2014 and already I’m seeing Pantone’s new “it” color everywhere!
Additionally, I’m not a fan of using purple (in any shade) for event design unless it’s mixed with another fun color like turquoise, lime green or maybe even orange. Pink is almost always mixed with purple because they’re in the same color family and it’s a no-fail match.
If you’re going to use Radiant Orchid in your next event’s color palette, I recommend mixing it with one of the colors I mentioned above or something darker like navy blue.
Too much purple on its own tends to boarder on tacky. If you don’t want another bold color to your design, try toning the purple down by adding some neutral shades into the mix. Be sure to check out my Pinterest board dedicated to all things Radiant Orchid, here.
