Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 9.12.41 AMHey Ya’ll,

The fabulous Destination I Do Magazine, asked me to do a guest post chock full of my best tips for hosting an outdoor wedding.

Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 9.14.56 AMThere are a lot of extra elements to contend with when you’re hosting a wedding outside, the most obvious of which is the weather.

Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 9.15.40 AMThat’s why my number one tip is to plan ahead for any possible weather scenarios. Unexpected rain and wind are the most common wedding day surprises, so make sure you have a back up space or a plan for keeping everyone dry and everything in place.

Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 9.13.30 AMMy second best tip is to know your location by doing your homework. Make sure you ask questions like, are there enough bathrooms for your guests? Are they close enough to the ceremony and reception space? These are important details to consider when you’re not in an indoor venue.
