Tune-in tomorrow morning, March 6, around 9AM PST to FOX 5 in San Diego, to catch my segment on how to throw the ultimate ladies’ night!
I’ll be doling out my favorite tips for hosting an at home event for your gal pals, whether it be a Bachelorette party or just a fun night of drinks, food and fun! My tips will touch on the following key elements of a great girls’ night:
* Food – This is the easiest way to help highlight the theme of the night! Use color and food items that pair well together to create your menu. Remember, displaying goodies in smaller portions makes it easy for your guests to enjoy the treats without the guilt!
* Drinks – Create fun drinks that set the tone for the party. Get creative and name your specialty cocktails based on the party’s theme or the special occasion. And don’t forget to offer a few non-alcoholic options!
* Décor – The key to fabulous décor is in the details, how you put the whole thing together, not how much you spend. Try to re-purpose items you already have and if you must buy new items, go with reusable decor, as opposed to one-time use items that ends up in the trash.
Bonus Tip: Cut costs on decorations by being a little creative with your food and drinks. Fun, colorful snacks and cocktails (Cake pops, marshmallow high heels, blue champagne, etc.) can easily become the focus of the table.
*Activities – Party activities should be both relaxing and fun. A movie marathon is a great option or for something more interactive, play drinking games or card games together. You can also organize a D.I.Y. spa night (find recipes for sugar scrubs and face masks online) or arranged for technicians to come to your home and provide a number of services (eyelash extensions, makeup and hair blow outs) for a fee.
I hope you’ll tune-in to FOX 5 in the morning if you live in the San Diego area! Otherwise, check back here for a follow up post with photos from my segment and any recipes I mention on the show. Wish me luck!
