Under Pressure…

Hey Ya’ll,

Yesterday, I made my way to Palm Springs to report for duty at the MISS CALIFORNIA pageant. Today, I’ve got a long day of interviews with all of the contestants ahead of me. Which has me wondering…

What’s the hardest question you’ve ever been asked during an important interview? Were you able to come up with a compelling answer or did you lose your composure and panic under pressure?

Let me know in the comment section below.

  1. I had to once answer questions to a panel of 7. At the time, I thought I wanted to live in this private community where my mom lives, so I had be interviewed first by the board. It wasn’t so much the questions, it was how I felt. I noticed the people who nodded their heads and had a smile on their face were the easiest people to look at and I felt more at ease. The ones who had a bored or unpleasant facial expression intimidated me most. I didn’t panic. I just pictured them as my staff and me being their boss in a meeting and it wasn’t so bad. Have fun at the interviews! 🙂

  2. At the very end of a particularly long and grueling interview, I was actually asked: “Can you please tell me what the 3rd question I asked you was and what you answered?” I paused. Tried to think back. Then said, “Nope.” Needless to say I didn’t get the job, but also needless to say, I didn’t want it after that interview (now I take notes during my interviews – just.in.case.).
