Naughty or Nice Cookie Decorating Party

Hey Ya’ll,

This idea may seem juvenile at first, but throwing a cookie decorating party is a lot of fun for guests of all ages! Here are a few photos of my nephews and I decorating cookies and a gingerbread house for Christmas this year:

To throw this type of party, you’ll need to bake a few batches of plain sugar cookies in various holiday shapes ahead of time (this means they’ll be cool enough to ice and guests can start in right away!). Then, lay out tons of frosting and toppings for your guests to get creative with.
My friends throw a party like this every year, and there is always a competition for the best-decorated cookie. The winner gets first pick for selecting the cookies they’d like to take home to enjoy and/or serve over the holidays.

Wondering why I included “naughty” in this party’s description? Well, to spice things up, my friends like to have all types of holiday inspired cookies… including a few shapes that are a little more risqué! But regardless of whether you go naughty or nice with your cookie design, the main thing is to have fun with your friends while rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands a little dirty!

  1. Last night I made some cookies too, but they didn’t come out as nice as yours! 😉 Your niece and nephews are very lucky to have a cool uncle as yourself to make some amazing cookies! 🙂 I think I may just need icing utensils for the cookie details and some cookie cutters. Lol
